It's Heeeeere

     I can't believe it's over! This project gave me the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and create something I'd never created for. I thoroughly enjoyed it and encourage anyone who thinks they have an interest in writing creatively to challenge themselves to come up with a movie plot! And, without further adieu, here is my finished product! I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it :) xx

Looking Back

     It's finally done! I filmed for the second time today, and I am so so so happy with what I have. If I could change one thing, though, I would have given myself some more creative freedom. As soon as I was assigned this project, my favorite movies immediately flashed into my mind. Most of my favorites are the same genre, drama, and as such I chose to make a drama. I wish I went out of my comfort zone, maybe made a sci-fi or a mystery... In any case, I am very satisfied with my film opening, and will be uploading it soon for everyone to see! :)

iMovie Master (?)

     So, remember how I said iMovie is easy? Well, after several days of tutorials, I can say it most definitely is not "easy." Or maybe I am just more severely technologically challenged. Who knows. In any case, I am extremely happy with the editing of the footage I have so far. Can't wait to film more next week and finish my film opening, I am sooooo excited to see the end result and I hope you guys are too.. xx

Success!

     Finally filmed today! Got about half (maybe a little less) of the content I need for the movie opening. I am going to add in a social commentary aspect. I want to touch on social issues in my work, such as the fact that parents should NOT be normalized when leaving their kids to fiend for themselves. Being an absentee parent is not okay, and destroys kids. Wow, I'm ranting.
     Okay, well, now I'm off to upload my clips onto Youtube so I can add links to them on here and you guys can watch them! :)

     

Technical Difficulties

     Plans to film today were foiled by two things: my phone camera cracked, and the weather was much less than ideal in Wynwood today. In light of these events, I have revised the plan and we are set to film next weekend. I do need camera suggestions, though. I have been wanting a professional camera for some time now, but have put it off because I told myself I could just use my phone camera... Well, clearly the universe had other plans. If any of you have suggestions for professional cameras capable of beautiful video and pictures for somewhere around $200, let me know pleeeease!! Currently leaning toward a Nikon, but sill need to do research. All help is welcome, I am extremely technologically challenged. xx
